Pummarola Pizzeria Napoletana — A pizzeria with roots in 1968 Naples just landed in northwest Coral Springs: the family-owned Pummarola brand (revived by four brothers in honor of their grandmother Rosa, whose little red Fiat 500 earned the "pummarola" — tomato — nickname) opened its newest location August 12 in the former Scuola Vecchia space, slinging award-winning wood-fired Neapolitan pies made with imported Italian tomatoes, flour, and mozzarella, plus fresh pasta and desserts. Go for a classic margherita with that soft center and fire-kissed crust — and keep an eye out for their pizza-making classes. Now open daily at 6240 Coral Ridge Dr, Suite 115 (same plaza as Basser's — pair it with Sunday's wine festival). See the menu & locations
