KOTO Asian Bistro — When Casey Tong and Karen Ngo sold Koto Japanese Cuisine in Coral Springs after fifteen years, plenty of regulars assumed that was the end of it. It wasn't: the husband-and-wife team reopened a smaller, sharper version of the concept in Coconut Creek's Winston Park Center, trading the big hibachi-theater format for a 135-seat room built around fresh sushi, ramen, hibachi-style stir fry, boba and shaved ice. It's the kind of place that quietly earns five-star reviews without a marketing budget — one regular calls it "a hidden gem."
