Generoso's Italian Sandwich Shoppe & Espresso Bar: A husband-and-wife shop from New Yorkers Tony and Lauren Generoso, built around three dozen Italian sandwiches stacked with imported meats and cheeses (The Godfather, Staten Italy and Fuhgeddaboudit are the names to know), plus espresso and Lauren's house-made pastries. Go for a bacon, egg and cheese on a roll like you'd get in the city, with pickled peppers and macaroni salad made from Tony's mother's recipes.
